Nikita & Tiaan

Nikita and Tiaans special day began under the big Wild Fig Tree on Nikitas grandparents game farm in Nylstroom. There wasn't a cloud to be seen with just a cool breeze to tame the hot Limpopo sun. The ceremony ends with these words, “…I now declare you husband and wife…” and so, the Minnies start a new chapter of their life together.

How did you meet?

Nikita: Tiaan wlaked into the shop, Macpro, where I worked a receptionist one day and it was love at first sight for me. Luckily he worked as a rep for BASF andvisited regularly after that. He didn't notice me at first but after a few weeks I decided to get his number from a collogue and made the first move. We went on our first date and the rest was history…

Tiaan: Nikita worked at Macpro that I regularly visited as a rep for BASF. I didn't notice her at first, work was my priority, but luckily I came to my senses.

When did you first realize, you were in love?

Nikita: Well, for me it was love at first sight, but the day he winked at me and greeted me with the simple words, have a nice day, I couldn't contain the butterflies anymore.

Tiaan: When we went on our first date, I just knew.

When and how did you get engaged?

Nikita & Tiaan: We got engaged on the 24th of December, 2015, on her grandparent’s farm under a big Fig Tree. The day was so special that we decided to get married at that exact spot.

How would you describe the style of your wedding?

Nikita: It was a typical farm wedding with a rustic style. There was a lot of wood elements and fairy lights everywhere.

Tiaan: It was a typical bushveld wedding.

What did you enjoy most while planning the wedding?

Nikita: I truly enjoyed every moment of it, but dress shopping was my absolute favorite!

Tiaan: Shopping for unique elements to make our day special.

Were there things that you didn't agree on during wedding planning?

Nikita: Luckily not, we both knew exactly what we wanted.

Tiaan: No. We have the same taste.

What is the first thing you remember when thinking back to your wedding day?

Nikita: The first time I saw Tiaan at the end of the isle. At that moment, all my nerves just disappeared and I was ready to become his wife.

Tiaan: The pastor was half an hour late because of a minor misunderstanding.

Would you change anything about your wedding day?

Nikita: No, the day was truly perfect.

Tiaan: No, it was everything we both wanted.
